Installation Guide

S13 Headlight Bracket Repair

Cautionary Notes
The Stacked Auto S13 Silvia headlight brackets are designed to fix into the remaining ribbed cavity on the OEM headlights.
If this area is missing, the repair brackets may not have adequate material to perform their function.

Centre-punching the Stacked Auto brackets will damage them.

Step 1.
Prepare the headlight

Remove damaged portions of the existing headlight bracket and file smooth as seen below.

The fixings in the following step are intended to install into the ribbed cavity of the OEM headlight.

Assess the remaining material of the headlight for fixing locations.

Step 2.
Choose your fixer

NUTS & BOLTS

If using nuts and bolts, ensure that the locations you choose do not intersect the ribbing in the cavity of the OEM headlight.

Mark your desired drilling locations on the OEM headlight using whatever process you wish, I used small blobs of toothpaste. Then press the Stacked Auto headlight bracket into position. Remove this same bracket and drill the bolt hole locations in it, in my case locations were marked by the small blobs of toothpaste.

Proceed to mount the Stacked Auto headlight bracket using some form of adhesive, I used a small piece of VHB tape.

Drill into the remaining OEM headlight bracket through the holes in the repair bracket that were drilled prior.

Using needle nose pliers, one at a time hold the nuts inside the OEM ribbed cavity on the headlight. Insert the screw/bolt through the repair bracket and OEM headlight and secure into the nut. Do this hand tight for all three screws/bolts and THEN tighten everything accordingly with tools.

SELF TAPPING SCREWS

If using self tapping screws, ensure additional adhesive is placed between the Stacked Auto bracket and the OEM headlight. This can be glues or double sided tapes of your choice but you must use more than just a small piece of tape or little blob. If choosing glue, ensure it is able to bond with PETG.

Once the Stacked Auto headlight bracket is secured in position you can follow up with self tapping screws wherever you see fit. If you wish to drill pilot holes, refer to similar methods used in the Nuts & Bolts section of this install.

Step 3.
Install into the car

Install the OEM headlights back into your S13 Silvia as standard.
